The Public Works Operations crew, assisted by Solid Waste and Wastewater Collections, have made one complete round of road plowing. They are working on loading and removing snow from windrows in the downtown area. City Hall has been plowed out.

The morning crew started at 4 am, and will finish at noon. Some crew will continue until 330 pm.

If the predicted additional snow comes this afternoon (4-7 pm), Nathan’s crew will come back to deal with it. Otherwise we will resume tomorrow morning. Temperatures tonight are predicted to be above freezing. Snow is predicted for Thursday, with a 40 deg daytime high but back into the upper 20s Thursday evening. Snow also shown for Friday .

Subject: Weather Alert Thursday

Here is what we are thinking for tomorrow.

Garbage and Recycling services Thursday‘s starting to look like it might be the same as today, but we will assess the roads in the morning
and make a determination if we can service the residential areas or not. We definitely will not be going on any hills till the weather clears.

If the weather conditions allow us, we will start on Thursdays route and get what we can and then try to get anything we can on Wednesdays route. If we can ask any residential customers if they call in, to
please hold over till the next week, if at all possible, that would be preferable. We will pick up double
garbage and we will run a recycling truck to collect anything that was not serviceable.

We will be sending the frontload commercial truck tomorrow to get any commercial we can get safely.
Mostly the Apartments, I have been getting a few calls already.
