Sedro-Woolley Building Department Inspections
In response to COVID-19, the Governor has issued a Stay Home, Stay Healthy order suspending most construction activity. We will only provide inspections for those projects deemed essential per the Governor's Order (https://www.governor.wa.gov/news-media/inslee-announces-stay-home-stay-healthy%C2%A0order) and Construction Guidance clarifying memo (https://www.seattle.gov/Documents/Departments/SDCI/ConstructionGuidanceMemo.pdf). EFFECTIVE MARCH 26, 2020 – The City of Sedro-Woolley Building Department has ceased to perform non-emergency inspections on commercial and residential construction until the Governor’s order is lifted. All construction sites shall be secured and made safe prior to vacating. Inspections for emergency repairs identified in the Governors order may be performed using Facetime or Skype.
Sedro-Woolley Permit Center Closure
On March 18, the Sedro-Woolley Building, Planning and Engineering Departments closed the customer service area and ceased to accept applications in person. As of March 26, per the Stay Home, Stay Heathy order, the BPE Permit Center staff is not working from city hall and is no longer able to accept and process permit applications that are submitted electronically or by mail. Staff is periodically checking email and voicemails remotely.
