Accounting Intern
  • The City of Sedro-Woolley, WA is seeking an Accounting Intern. The successful candidate shall be pursuing a career in the accounting field via high school classes, technical schooling or college courses. Recent graduates of accounting programs are also encouraged to apply.
  • This position is grant funded and is slated for 12-15 hours a week and will last for 16-20 weeks. This is a great opportunity to learn many aspects of a governmental accounting career.
  • Candidate will gain experience in Cash Receipting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Utility Billing, Financial Reporting and Budgeting.
  • The work will be done in the office due to the confidential nature of the work.
  • $16-$18/hour DOE. No benefits are offered with this position.

Senior Engineer/Assistant City Engineer
  • The City of Sedro-Woolley is hiring for a Senior Engineer/Assistant City Engineer within our Building, Planning & Engineering Department.  This position requires knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, superb communication and customer service skills, ability to interpret plans and specifications within scope of knowledge, and excellent computer skills.
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.
    • Journeyman level of knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, public works infrastructure design, construction and materials and techniques.
    • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and permit requirements that govern construction projects.
    • Washington State driver’s license and good driving record.

Seasonal Public Works Worker
  • The City of Sedro-Woolley is currently seeking applicants for Seasonal Public Works Workers in the Public Works Operations division.  The position performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the operation, maintenance, and repair of city parks, streets, drainage facilities, sidewalks and other public infrastructure.
  • The position will last approximately 4 months, from March 1st through November 30th, 4/10 work week, Monday - Thursday
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Must have a high school diploma or GED
    • Must have a valid Washington State driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the City
  • Pay range is $15 - $18 per hour depending on experience
